External instrumentation

The training provider can bring their own equipment or instruments to TSEC. The organizer is responsible for transporting the equipment, arranging the equipment before the training event, and packing it for pick-up. If the service of a coordinator is required to pack external equipment, it will be agreed upon and billed separately, see Price list.

Care of external instrumentation

The instrumentation brought by the partners will be decontaminated at the centralized sterilization and disinfection unit located in building D. The coordinators do not wash the instruments at TSEC. The surgical laboratory rent includes decontamination of the instruments up to five containers / reserved station. An additional washing fee is charged for excess containers, see Price list. After washing, the instrumentation can also be sterilized. Sterilization is agreed and billed separately, see Price list. Please note that all instruments used in live patients after cadaver training must be sterilized before leaving the hospital campus.

After washing, the instrumentation is ready for packing in three working days after training. Washing and delivering the equipment back during the same training day is not possible. The request for faster processing (1-2 working days) must be submitted no later than four weeks before the training day. We do not guarantee that a faster schedule is possible, as it depends on the quantity and quality of equipment to be cared for and the capacity of the centralized sterilization and disinfection unit.

Delivery and pick-up of external instrumentation

The address for the delivery and pick-up is: Building O, Arkkiatrinkuja 6, 33520 Tampere, Finland. Large freight transports are accepted on weekdays between 8 and 10 o’clock and between 14:30 and 16 o’clock, smaller transports also between 10 and 14:30 o’clock.

There is no loading dock, so the truck should have a lowering loading platform when handling large items. We can lend a hand pallet truck for transfers inside the building.

Pick-up and reception of equipment must always be agreed with the coordinators, tel: +358 50 406 9171 and +358 50 362 8977.
