The campus area of Tampere University Hospital offers a wide range of supplementary services for training organizers and participants.

Lecture rooms

The meeting rooms in the Finn-Medi buildings are suitable for large groups and can be easily adapted to different needs:

• a modern auditorium for 200 people
• several meeting rooms of different sizes for 6–80 people
• standard workstations, network connections and videoconferencing devices, video projectors, microphones, and laser pointers in all meeting rooms
• sauna facilities for evening use

Catering services

There are several cafeterias in the area, where the table arrangement can be carried out in many ways. Private cabinets for 20-30 people are also available. The catering can also be ordered to the premises of TSEC. Contact kokoukset@pikante.fi to ask more information.

Accommodation and attractions

The nearest hotel, Norlandia Tampere Hotel, is located in the adjacent building (FM6, Biokatu 14). The hotel has 130 air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant, a sauna, and meeting rooms as well as a café serving around the clock. Rooms have their own private bathrooms, a small fridge, a TV and a free Wi-Fi. There is a car park for motorists in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Parking is chargeable. Transportation

Tampere is the largest inland city in the Nordic countries. Due to its central location, it is easy to reach. A trip to Helsinki takes 1.5 hours by train and two hours by car. The Port of Turku, with several ferry connections to Stockholm on a daily basis, can be reached conveniently by train in two hours. Road connections are good in all directions. Tampere-Pirkkala Airport can be reached in 25-30 minutes by car. There are flights between Tampere and Central Europe several times a week. Public transportation is good. The hospital campus can be reached from Tampere Railway station by tram in 9 minutes. More information on transportation can be found on the Visit Tampere website.
